7 Forest Hills Eateries Join NYC Restaurant Week: Here's Where

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — Neighbors in Forest Hills can soon eat away their winter doldrums at a discount.

This year's first Restaurant Week, which opened reservations on Tuesday, includes 7 restaurants in Forest Hills (on par with the neighborhood's showing during last summer's event).

The deals-oriented event includes two-course lunches for $29 per-person, and three-course dinners for $39 apiece at participating restaurants. If you want to splurge, some restaurants will offer pricier $59 dinners.

And, despite its name, Restaurant Week will run for about a month, from Jan. 18 to Feb. 13.

The event's website describes Restaurant Week as "your chance to try it all in the most vibrant dining scene in the world," but — as in years past — Queens has a paltry showing in this year's event: only 22 of the 470 participating restaurant are in the World's Borough (which is known fro cooking up some of the city's best food). A whopping 80 percent of the eateries, by contrast, are in Manhattan.

Still, there are many Queens' deals to be had in Forest Hills, and those willing to travel a little further can also find Restaurant Week deals in Astoria, Long Island City, Sunnyside, Jackson Heights, Woodhaven, and The Rockaways.

Here are the Forest Hills restaurants that will participate (make reservations here):

  • Bareburger

  • Guantanamera Restaurant

  • Queens Bully

  • Tuscan Hills

  • MoCA Asian Bistro

  • London Lennie's

  • Keuka Kafe

Diners participating in Restaurant Week, which coincides with the city's latest omicron-induced coronavirus wave, need to be vaccinated in order to eat indoors (per the city's indoor vaccine mandate).
