Here are 7 kid-friendly indoor options for summer fun in the Indianapolis area

The hot and sticky season is upon us, but kids don't care. They still need to get out of the house and are more than happy to drag the family into the sauna.

It is helpful, then, to have some indoor recreation options over the summer — places that offer fun for all and, crucially, opportunities for children to burn energy.

Here are a few bouncing, driving, skating, climbing and general running around options for the season, all blissfully indoors.

Sky Zone Trampoline Park

4150 Kildeer Drive, Indianapolis, skyzone.com/indysouth

Hours: noon until 8 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, noon until 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday

This trampoline park offers wall-to-wall bouncing in addition to a ninja warrior-style obstacle course and hyped up versions of volleyball, basketball and dodgeball. General admission is $20 for an hour, $25 for 90 minutes and $30 for 120 minutes. Special socks are required and cost $4.
