At the age of four, Khloe Salazar Gloria was diagnosed with juvenile Huntington's disease, a rare and fatal condition that attacks the brain, causing unsteady and uncontrollable movements.

"We're on a timeframe," her mother, Natalie Salazar said almost a year ago to the date.

It's a slow death from Huntington's. Patients are usually bedridden with a feeding tube towards the final stages.

At 7 years old, around 7:20 on April 17, 2023, Khloe's battle came to an end.

The family has been posting updates on Khloe's Facebook page Keeping Up With Khloe. On Thursday, April 13, the family posted that a hospice doctor was coming to visit that afternoon.

"My Klo Klo is making her transition to her everlasting life with our Lord," a family member posted.

Not long after, a GoFundMe was created by Khloe's aunt for her funeral fund, knowing the day was approaching soon.

"She no longer is suffering…," a family post stated Monday night. "Prayers for her mama and daddy."

The GoFundMe has raised $12,390 of its $25,000 goal as of 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The fundraiser can be found by searching "Khloe Gloria funeral expenses" on the website or by going to https://www.gofundme.com/f/khloe-gloria-funeral-expenses.

A funeral service has not been announced as of Tuesday morning. Updates will be posted here as well as additional ways to help the family. Please email rosanna.fraire@gosanangelo.com for any fundraisers or events.
