7 women and teenager arrested for dramatic fight outside Lake City apartment complex, officers say
Seven women and a teenager were arrested Tuesday after they were involved in a dramatic fight, according to the Lake City Police Department.
The fight broke out just before 5:30 p.m. at the Cedar Park Apartments. Officers responded to the scene where they say a large crowd had gathered around the several women fighting. Witnesses told police the suspects had been in an ongoing feud and it had turned physical, exploding into a fight between all eight suspects.
Police say during the fight, one of the suspects, Imari Bell, used pepper spray, which not only hit her opponents but two six-year-olds standing nearby. Another suspect, Vanity Curry, had caused damage to a vehicle parked in the parking lot that belonged to another suspect involved.
Bell, Curry, Miesha Byrd, Asayshia Shade, Kulenna Stephens, Chakora Tompkins, and Keyonna Ridgeway are charged with battery and disorderly conduct. Bell is also charged with aggravated battery.
LCPD has not released the name of the juvenile suspect because they are facing misdemeanor charges.
