70 Firefighters Battle Blaze Near London Bridge Station

Seventy firefighters and ten fire engines were battling a huge blaze in between London Bridge and Waterloo East stations, on Wednesday, August 17, according to the London Fire Brigade.

The fire brigade said the blaze broke out under the railway arches in Union Street, Southwark

Footage posted to Twitter by user @ds2hogs shows smoke can be seen rising from the scene.

Trains at London Bridge station were affected and nearby buildings were evacuated, the Brigade added.
