700 jobs available at first Somerset, Hunterdon job fair since pandemic on May 24

BRIDGEWATER — Employers in Somerset and Hunterdon employers will be trying to fill more than 700 positions during the Greater Raritan 2022 Job Fair at the Hindu Temple and Cultural Society on Route 202-206 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 24.

This is the first large-scale in-person job fair presented by the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board (GRWDB) since the onset of the pandemic.

More than 100 employers based in the two counties have registered for this free event – reaching the capacity limit for employer participants. The full list of jobs available from these companies can be viewed here.

“Community members from around the region are invited to meet all of the employers during this free event,” said GRWDB Board Chair Joanne Hala. “Be prepared to share your resume, network with hiring managers and other job seekers and gather career-related information from employers and agency participants.”

Job seekers do not need to register.

The hundreds of jobs being offered are full-time and part-time and range from entry-level to C-suite. Participating employers represent the sectors of child care and education, construction, county government, finance, health care, health and wellness, leisure and hospitality, life sciences, manufacturing, personal and family services, retail trade, sports, transportation and logistics, technology and veterinary care.

“As shown by list of jobs being offered, we know our employers need assistance with finding workers,” Hala said. “This event is an opportunity for the workforce board to connect the employers we serve to the highly qualified workforce in our two counties.”

The event also will have a resource table with information from career-related agencies and organizations and other partners working with the GRWDB.

In addition, rooms will be available for one-on-one discussions with employers as needed.

The GRWDB oversees federally and state-funded career and employment services for businesses and residents in Hunterdon and Somerset counties.
