“That ‘70s Show” actor Danny Masterson, who was convicted of raping two women, has been transferred from one of the state’s most secure prisons to California Men’s Colony in San Luis Obispo.

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation confirmed to The Tribune that Masterson, 46, was moved to CMC on Feb. 16. The agency declined to disclose the reason for the transfer or which wing of the prison Masterson is housed in.

On May 31, 2023, Masterson was found guilty of raping two women in 2003.

In September, a judge sentenced Masterson to 30 years to life, and in January, he was sent to Corcoran State Prison, a maximum-security facility “for the most violent and dangerous male offenders.”

California Men’s Colony currently houses minimum- and medium-security inmates, according to the corrections department. It is divided into an East Facility for medium security inmates and West Facility for minimum and medium security inmates.

In May, the corrections department announced plans to close the West Facility, which houses inmates in a dormitory style setting. The medium-security East Facility houses inmates in cells.

According to the corrections department, Masterson will not be eligible for parole until 2042.
