77-year-old Maryland man who crashed into rock wall near Harrington identified

Delaware State Police have now identified the 77-year-old Maryland man who died in a single-car crash when he hit a rock wall near Harrington on Friday.

Robert Griffith, from Denton, Maryland, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet HHR westbound on Vernon Road around 6:16 p.m. on Friday when for “unknown reasons” the vehicle left the road and collided with a small rock wall on the side of a ditch.

Griffith was taken to a local hospital where he later died.
