According to a sociological survey commissioned by the International Center for Ukrainian Victory (ICUV), 77% of Ukrainians have absolute confidence in their nation's victory in the war with Russia, and they are not open to any territorial concessions. 

The study was conducted by the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation, with the results published on July 27.

In the survey, 77% of respondents stated their unwavering belief in Ukraine's victory, while 16% showed at least partial belief in the same outcome.

Moreover, 70% of the surveyed citizens defined the victory as liberation of all Ukrainian territories.

Other significant markers of victory for the respondents included the return of all POWs and deportees (60%), and punishment of war criminals (51%).

Some Ukrainians are open to certain compromises: 36% say that some concessions are acceptable, but this does not include ceding territory or abandoning plans to join NATO or the EU.

A mere 6% of Ukrainian citizens support the idea of "peace at any cost."

When asked about possible security guarantees, 54% of the respondents preferred NATO membership. The second most favored security alternative, supported by 16% of respondents, was the conclusion of strategic defense cooperation agreements with several NATO member countries.

This face-to-face survey was conducted by the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation in collaboration with the Center for Political Sociology, commissioned by the ICUV. The survey took place from June 5 to 15, involving 2001 respondents aged 18 and above. The sample population mirrored the demographic structure of the adult population in the surveyed territories as of early 2022.
