78 Brooklyn Restaurants To Participate In NYC Restaurant Week

BROOKLYN, NY — Even the coronavirus pandemic won't stop restaurant week, which gives New Yorkers the chance to taste the city's finest fare at discounted prices.

A record number of restaurants — including 78 in Brooklyn — are participating in this month's "Restaurant Week To Go," which will offer select $20.21 meal options for takeout and delivery starting Monday.

"Restaurants and restaurant workers need our support now more than ever, so it was important to us that all eateries across the five boroughs had the opportunity to participate in this program aimed at increasing local support," Fred Dixon, president and CEO of NYC & Company, which organizes the annual event, said in a statement.

The 2021 line-up is a massive increase for the number of outer-borough restaurants participating in the bi-annual tradition. Last year, only 12 Brooklyn eateries made the list for restaurant week, a number so low that Brooklyn started its own tradition to highlight the borough's best eats.

To further support restaurants, the platforms Seamless, Grubhub, BentoBox, Bbot and Tock have agreed to discount commissions or waive delivery fees.
