79-year-old Palm Beach Gardens woman dies in 'violent' car-truck collision

GREENACRES — A 79-year-old Palm Beach Gardens woman died Thursday night in a "violent" vehicle collision in Greenacres, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

Suzanne McClellan died at Wellington Regional Medical Center about an hour after the 7 p.m. crash.

McClellan was turning left from Silver Buttonwood Drive onto 10th Avenue North in a Nissan Maxima when she turned into the path of an eastbound Chevy Colorado pickup truck, deputies said. The two vehicles collided violently, according to the sheriff's office.

McClellan was taken to Wellington Regional after the crash, where she died. The driver of the pickup truck, a 24-year-old man from Greenacres, was not injured in the crash, the sheriff's office report said. Neither alcohol nor drugs appear to have been involved, deputies said.
