The best mini trampolines for (fun!) home workoutsJessica Lockett

As much as we love a gym session, forking out for an expensive gym membership or studio class isn't exactly something many of us can do a lot of the time. But, whilst there are many home workouts at the ready over on YouTube, doing crunches in front of your TV doesn't quite hit the same as half an hour on the cross-trainer. Can you blame us? The cross-trainer is pretty fun, to be fair.

Of course though, it's important that any exercise undertaken – wherever you choose to do it – is fun, otherwise there's no way you'll stick to it. One great example? At-home, indoor trampolining. No, seriously!

Not only can bouncing around on a trampette (that's a mini trampoline, FYI) be done to good music, but it's also low intensity – it's always a good idea to have something to offset those online HIIT classes or tougher workouts (no matter your age, your joints will thank you for it).

As well as getting your heart pumping, there are plenty of other additional health benefits of trampolining, one study even found that bouncing on a trampette for 20 minutes can burn the same number of calories as if you were to run for an equal amount of time. Once you've got a handle of the leaps and jumps, hand weights and resistance bands can also be weaved into your trampoline routine for added gains.

Trampolining regularly can also help to build up stamina while still providing a decent cardio hit and improve muscle tone and co-ordination (according to the NHS), so all in all a mini trampoline is well worth investing in.

Plus – and here's the clincher for those of us living in a smaller space – mini trampolines, or rebounders (if you want to get technical), can also be easily stored away after your session too.

Here, we've rounded up the best mini trampolines on the market so that you can get bouncing ASAP...
