In addition to working as Eric Ripert’s right-hand wine director at three-Michelin-starred Le Bernardin for the past 10 years, Sohm (yes, his name is actually Aldo Sohm) has also won the title of Best Sommelier in America. He also has his own wine brand, Sohm & Kracher, which focuses on gruner veltliner, an indigenous grape of his home country of Austria.

Created in conjunction with author Christine Muhlke, Sohm breaks down the foundations of viticulture, vinification, wine grapes, and classification systems as simply as possible—hence the name.
