New $8 million Acme Equipment facility up and running in Fargo

Oct. 26—FARGO — A new Acme Equipment facility has opened in south Fargo at 680 36th St. S.

The 32,600-square foot complex was built to support the sale and service of Kubota Tractor Corp. products and other equipment brands, according to Acme Equipment, which is a division of parent company Acme Tools.

The two-story building features a large showroom, offices, warehouse space, service and parts counters and eight service bays.

According to Fargo building permit information, the value of the building is approximately $7 million, while the value of the parking lot work was just over $1 million.

A grand opening for the new facility is planned for Oct. 31 through Nov. 2.

In 2022, Kubota Tractor Corp. approved Acme Equipment as the new Kubota dealer for the Fargo-Moorhead region in North Dakota and Minnesota.

The newly constructed Acme Equipment facility also houses Acme Rents, which moved to the new location from the nearby Acme Tools store.

Alan Leno, the general manager of the two Acme campuses in Fargo, said rental and service operations are now centralized in the new building.

Tool sales, he said, will remain the focus of the Acme Tools retail store located a short distance away at 920 36th St. S. "That will all still be housed over there," Leno said.

Acme Tools is celebrating

its 75th anniversary, having been founded in Grand Forks in 1948.

Today, Acme Tools has 10 retail stores in North Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa, as well as six Acme Rents locations in North Dakota and Minnesota.

Both of Acme's Fargo locations are open from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.

They are closed on Sunday.
