8 people injured after vehicle slams into Orland Hills hair salon
Eight people were injured Sunday afternoon after a vehicle slammed into a Sports Clips in Orland Hills, officials said.
The Orland Fire Protection District responded to the crash at 9239 W. 159th St. at around 2 p.m. The vehicle had completely driven through one of the building’s walls, striking multiple people inside, officials said.
The driver then backed out of the hair salon and hit several vehicles in the parking lot.
Responders treated eight people at the scene, including the driver of the vehicle. Four of those people were taken to area hospitals with injuries believed to be not life-threatening, officials said.
The building was extensively damaged. Orland Hills police are investigating the crash.
