About 80 Stores/Eateries Now Open At Manchester's Buckland Mall

MANCHESTER, CT — Most of the stores at the Shoppes at Buckland Hills are now back in business through Phase 2 of the state coronavirus reopening plan.

The mall's website was boasting about 80 open locations in all on its website Tuesday. That number includes detached restaurants.

  • The mall opened with strict distancing and safety protocalls in effect. They include:

  • Masks are required. Anyone not wearing a face covereing will be asked to leave the property.

  • Arrows on floors direct foot traffic.

  • Hand-sanitizing stations are located throughout the mall.

  • Touch-free interactions are being promoted

  • "Frequent and intense" cleanings are scheduled

  • Social distancing directions are posted.

The food court features "adjusted seating" and food court tenants are being "encouraged" to continue carryout and takeout service.
