82nd Airborne Division to team up with country music stars for annual holiday concert

The 82nd Airborne Division will host its free annual holiday concert at 7 p.m. Friday at the Crown Coliseum.

The 82nd Airborne Band and Chorus will accompany country music recording artists, Craig Morgan, an Army and 82nd Airborne veteran, Michael Ray and Abby Anderson, a news release from the division stated.

Natalie Stovall, a world-renowned fiddler and Grand Ole Opry on-air personality, is the event’s hostess.

“This has been a challenging year for so many and we’ve asked a lot of our paratroopers and their families,” said Maj. Gen. Christopher Donahue, commander of the 82nd Airborne Division. “We’ve invited some of the best talent Nashville has to offer to play alongside our band and chorus as a way to give back to our families for all they’ve given the nation.”

The concert is open to the public.

Tickets are at no cost and can be picked up from local businesses, the division’s paratroopers or other Fort Bragg units.

The artists will be available for a meet and greet and to take photos with fans from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Santa will be available from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for photos with kids.

The Crown Coliseum is at 1960 Coliseum Drive in Fayetteville.

In accordance with Department of Defense mandates, attendees must show a COVID-19 vaccination card, and must wear a mask while in the coliseum.
