The company is looking to add to the more than 60 people already employed at 84 Lumber locations in Hempfield, Derry Township, East Huntingdon, North Versailles and West Mifflin.

Available positions include: manager trainee, at a $40,000 salary; coordinator of sales, $16 per hour plus commission; forklift/warehouse associate, up to $14 per hour; framing installed sales manager (project manager); outside sales representative; and project estimator.

The Washington County-based company said it is experiencing an increased demand for its products because of a steady housing market.

In Pittsburgh, permits were issued for construction of 4,824 privately owned housing units in 2020, up from 3,984 in 2019.

With more than 240 locations in more than 30 states, 84 Lumber attributes 85% of its annual business to serving professionals in the construction industry.

The company reports that it has experienced 42% growth over the past three years and is on track to end 2021 with a 40% year-over-year sales increase.

It has earned a spot on the 2021 Inc. 5000 list of the nation's fastest-growing private companies, ranked at no. 4,917.
