89-year-old woman found dead outside assisted living home in Kenosha, police say

A 89-year-old resident of an assisted living home in Kenosha was found dead outside the facility last week, police say.

The woman was discovered near Parkside Manor Assisted Living and Memory Care, 6300 67th St., on Dec. 19. Kenosha police say they responded at 7:45 a.m.

Police say they are still investigating the death and there is a "potential" for criminal charges, which would be referred to the Kenosha County District Attorney's Office.

Authorities have not released the decedent's name.

Police believe the woman died of "weather exposure." Temperatures hit a low of 9 degrees and a high of 12 degrees at midnight on Dec. 19 in Kenosha.
