8th annual Camp McDonald Day will be June 11

May 27—The 8th annual Camp McDonald Day will be June 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Camp McDonald Park, 2726 Watts Drive in Kennesaw.

Participants can visit Georgia's largest Civil War training site and interact with living historians and view soldier demonstrations. The schedule of events includes a History of Camp McDonald lecture by historian Michael K. Shaffer at the Southern Museum, museum admission fee required; a walking tour of Camp McDonald with Shaffer; and a Kennesaw City Cemetery Tour with Andrew Bramlett.
