9-1-1 and I Know What You Did Last Summer star Jennifer Love Hewitt has got a sweet tribute to her three children in the form of some new tattoos.

The actress got three butterflies tattooed on her left arm to represent her children that she shares with Brian Hallisay: Autumn James, Atticus James and Aidan James, who were born in 2013, 2015 and 2021 respectively.

The actress shared a photo of her new ink from tattooist Victoria Do, who also did some delicate adornments on the actress' fingers.

Hewitt and Hallisay started dating when they were both starring in the series The Client List, and married just days before they welcomed their first child together in November 2013.

Hallisay actually played Hewitt's on-screen husband in the second season of 9-1-1, although the relationship between their characters was a lot less wholesome than in real life.

Speaking of 9-1-1, the most recent episode saw Buck, who had been struck by lightning, recover from his injuries and become a maths genius (no, really).

Showrunner Kristen Reidel explained that there is some science behind this, stating: "About a decade ago, I read an article about people who'd been struck by lightning and different things that came out of that.

"Obviously there's definitely some negative health effects that some people experience, but then there's also these weird little stories about how they can affect the electricity in a room or they don't feel pain anymore.

"We talked about different abilities that he could have, and we came up with math because it just seemed so the opposite of the Buck we know and love... You give Buck the inability to feel pain, and that just feels like a different story. We wanted to keep it fun."

9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Lone Star both air on FOX and Hulu in the US and Sky Witness in the UK.
