  • Celebrity outfits have long been an inspiration for Halloween costumes.

  • In 2018, Rita Ora dressed up as Post Malone for Halloween, which is an easy look to replicate.

  • One of this year's most popular outfits will likely be Barbie.

If you've been invited to a last-minute Halloween soiree and have no idea what to wear, or just don't want to go out and buy a whole new costume, there are some celebrity-inspired outfits you probably already have in your closet.

The new generation of Halloween costumes have cultural relevance and are usually celebrity-inspired too. For example, an easy couple's costume to replicate is Justin and Hailey Bieber's viral opposite outfits at her recent Rhode brand launch event.

Meanwhile, singer Rita Ora dressing up as fellow A-lister Post Malone for a Halloween party proved it's also a simple look to recreate at home. Take a look.

For the ultimate Y2K-inspired Halloween outfit, Ashley Tisdale's Disney-era red-carpet looks are the perfect inspiration.

It might make a questionable everyday outfit, but as a costume, there's no easier option.

What you need: Any Y2K layering trend, whether that's a dress and pants, or a tank layered over a long-sleeve top. Stick with low-waisted jeans and always over-accessorize.

For all the millennials, this would be the kind of accessories you thought were cool in the early 2000s, like belts with an oversized buckle, and a skinny scarf.

Pictures of an unbothered Justin Bieber with his wife, Hailey Bieber, went viral after being covered by the likes of Vanity Fair and InStyle for their polar-opposite looks at the new product launch for her brand, Rhode, in August.

What you need: For Justin, a grey hoodie and shorts with a pink cap over the hood. For Hailey, a red minidress and red accessories.

The Weeknd in a red suit, complete with a bloody nose.

This look requires a bit more effort and a dab hand at Halloween makeup. The Weeknd's red suit from the "Blinding Lights" music video is an iconic look that's easy to put together.

What you need: A black shirt, black pants, and a red blazer. Just as in the "Blinding Lights" music video and red-carpet look, create some shadow under the eyes using a dark eyeshadow, and use fake blood around your nose.

Jennifer Lopez in her most iconic white-on-white look.

Jennifer Lopez has been a style icon since the 90s, between her Versace plunge dress and red-carpet looks like this all-white one at the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards.

What you need: White pants, a cropped white cami, and a white headband. You could cut a regular cami to fit this look, and if you don't have a headband, simply fold up a light scarf and tie it at the back of your head.

If you have some kind of award or trophy lying around (though it's likely not a VMA) it would be ideal to carry it with this costume.

For all the party girls, this is the perfect non-costume-looking Halloween outfit. It was even replicated by Kendall Jenner, albeit for her own 21st birthday rather than for Halloween.

What you need: Your sparkliest minidress, paired with dark eye makeup and a matching silver choker. It takes just a few steps to look just like everyone's favorite heiress.

Barbiecore is here to stay, this time in the form of a Halloween costume. It's likely going to be a popular one, so don't be surprised if you aren't the only Barbie at the party.

What you need: Dress completely in pink from head to toe. Bonus points if you can get your hands on a blonde wig.

The ultimate punk princess, Avril Lavigne.

For those old enough to remember the hold Avril Lavigne had on us in the early 2000s, she also makes for the perfect Halloween outfit.

What you need: Wear a white tank and oversized cargo pants with a men's tie and lots of black eyeliner. If you can dig out any punk-inspired cuffs or spiked jewelry, throw those on too.

Post Malone makes for the perfect comfortable costume, as shown by Rita Ora.

Post Malone is the ultimate Halloween costume hack for dressing comfortably. Rita Ora dressed as the rapper in 2018 for a Halloween red carpet, and it was apparently so good that The Hollywood Reporter later tweeted a photo of Ora rather than Post Malone to announce his 2019 Grammys performance, BuzzFeed News reported.

What you need: A dad shirt or flannel and baggy shorts or jeans. Draw on some tattoos with black liner. You can also braid your hair to channel an old-school Post Malone look.

Ariana Grande, complete with ponytail.

This costume isn't really a costume since Ariana Grande generally plays it safe with her fashion choices, but because of her hairstyle, it's still an extremely recognizable look.

What you need: The key components are a high ponytail and knee-high boots. You can then pair this with a mini babydoll dress, or an oversized hoodie worn as a dress.
