9 New England cities ranked among most educated places in America

Nine New England cities have been ranked among the most educated communities in the America, according to a new study.

Wallet Hub analysts compared the 150 largest metropolitan statistical areas across 11 key metrics to determine where the most educated Americans are putting their degrees to work.

Boston was ranked the sixth most educated city in the country, only checking in behind Ann Arbor, San Jose, Washington D.C., Madison, and San Francisco.

Other New England cities that made the list were as follows:

11. Bridgeport, Conn.

16. Portland, Maine

27. Hartford, Conn.

37. Manchester, N.H.

43. New Haven, Conn.

52. Worcester, Mass.

68. Springfield, Mass.

91. Providence, R.I.
