These 9 Evansville-area high school marching bands are headed to the state finals

Nine Southwestern Indiana high school marching bands have earned a trip to next weekend's state finals.

They're among a total of 40 schools that will compete across four classes Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Performance times will be released later this week.

The bands earned a trip to the state finals by finishing in the top 10 in each class at semistate competitions this weekend at four sites. The classes are set by school size, with the biggest schools assigned to Class A, down to the smallest schools in Class D.

  • Jasper High School

  • North High School

  • Reitz High School

Class C

  • Princeton Comunity High School

  • Vincennes Lincoln High School

Class D

  • Southridge High School

  • Mater Dei High School
