Here are 9 ways to celebrate Easter in Central Florida

Spring has sprung in Central Florida, and we couldn’t be “hoppier.”

Plenty of Easter activities are set for the holiday on April 17 and the week leading up for it.

Whether it’s an Easter egg hunt, sunrise church service or a delicious brunch, there’s plenty to do in Central Florida on Easter Sunday. Here’s a quick rundown.

  • ICON Park on International Drive will again feature the Easter Bunny Garden Experience. Get photos with bunnies, candid photos or a combination of the two for $20 each. The event lasts through April 16. Click here for details.

  • Also at ICON Park, the scuba-diving Easter bunny will be at Sea Life Aquarium Orlando every Thursday for the rest of the month at 1 p.m.

  • Easter services at Central Florida houses of worship are returning to in-person following the pandemic. Among those is the free Easter Sunrise Service at SeaWorld. The parking lot opens at 4:15 a.m. and the gates open at 5 a.m.

  • If you plan on spending your Easter Sunday at Walt Disney World, there are plenty of things to do for the holiday. Meet Mr. & Mrs. Easter Bunny at Magic Kingdom, have breakfast or brunch at one of the resort hotels, or enjoy elaborate Disney-themed Easter egg displays at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Contemporary Resort or Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

  • Children can get their photos taken with the Easter Bunny at The Mall at Millenia.

  • The annual Easter Weekend Celebration returns to the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art in Winter Park. There will be free musical performances and a chance to see the museum’s collection at no charge.

  • Multiple Easter egg hunts will be sprouting up throughout Central Florida. Encore Resort at Reunion, JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa, Margaritaville Resort Orlando, Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld, the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Sonesta Es Suites Orlando and Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek will all host Easter egg hunts this weekend.

  • If you want to put some spring into your step for Easter, participate in one of the region’s 5K races. Margaritaville Resort Orlando will host the Fins Up Bunny Hop 5K Fun Run & Walk on Saturday morning, and the Bunny Hop 5K at Gemini Springs Park in Volusia County will take place Sunday.

  • Several restaurants in and around Orlando will be hosting an Easter brunch including DoveCote, The Boheme, Eddie V’s, The Hampton Social, Cuba Libre and Margaritaville Orlando.
