After being absent from the show for a week, a South Dakota man and his fiancée returned to the spotlight in the newest episode of TLC's "90 Day Fiancé."

Jibri, 28, from Rapid City, and his fiancée Miona, 23, from Serbia, have been living in South Dakota for a few days now and it's Miona's first day by herself.

The show's format: Following K-1 visa rules, couples have 90 days to wed before the visa expires and the fiancé is sent back to their home country.

Miona and Jibri are still living in Rapid City, much to the dismay of Miona, who pictured her American life in a big city like Los Angeles or New York City. Mahala, Jibri's mom, tries to help Miona adjust and shows her how to use the laundry machine.

That's when the two women have their first argument.

Mahala took the opportunity to tell Miona she was very "smart" but the way she dresses at times distracts from that. Also, nobody in Rapid City dresses like Miona, Mahala said. Not one to take criticism lightly, Miona did not mince her words in saying she's confident in her body and what she wears.

“What gives me confidence is owning my body and saying [bleep] you to everybody who thinks that I can’t do whatever I want with my body,” Miona said.

By the end of the conversation, Miona agreed to give Mahala's suggestion that she dress conservatively around the house some thought since she and Jibri are living with Mahala and her husband Brian.

Miona also made Mahala aware that she felt she was being judged by her future mother-in-law.

“I want to be able to get dressed like this and not to be judged,” Miona said.

In discussing laundry, Mahala was finally able to have a clear conversation with her son's fiancée about the way she dresses but that did not come without its consequences.

Jibri later sat down his mother to have a heart to heart about her comments to Miona. She, however, was surprised to hear Miona was that upset.

"“I’m concerned that Miona is being fake with us because Miona’s not telling this to me,” Mahala said.

Jibri asked her to "tone down" the questioning and rules Mahala was implementing on the couple in order to maintain the peace.

Mahala is a counselor in Rapid City and midway through the conversation turned the tables on Jibri by telling him that what he might really be upset about doesn't have to do with laundry.

"I think it’s sounding more like you’re upset about how you and Miona are doing right now,” Mahala said.

Jibri confessed he's stressed about Miona wanting to leave South Dakota so early and isn't sure if she was really upset or just playing it up to speed up the process of them leaving. On top of that he's already stressed about getting married in 90 days and paying for a wedding that Miona wants in "God knows where."

"“Oh, mom you twisting my brain, you doing the therapy kung-fu stuff again,” Jibri said to his mother.

Although Mahala knows the "game" Jibri said he doesn't want his mom to be a therapist at the moment but rather just a mom.

Next episode of 90 Day Fiancé airs on Sunday. As the 90 days continue, the couple must still navigate finances, family relationships and wants and needs as Miona is still pushing to leave South Dakota while Jibri worries about affording to live elsewhere.
