Good morning, Memphis, where fans from all over the world will gather at Graceland tonight to honor the memory of Elvis Presley with a vigil — a day before the anniversary of his death on Aug. 16, 1977.

But, first, Will Zalatoris outdueled Sepp Skraka yesterday to win the FedEx St. Jude Championship in a dramatic three-hole playoff, our Jason Munz reports.

It’s the third playoff Zalatoris has been involved in this season and his first win on Tour. Last year’s tournament, the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational, also went to a playoff and was won by Abraham Ancer.

"It's kind of hard to say 'about time' when it's your second year on Tour," Zalatoris said, "but about time."

Hear everything Zalatoris said after his win by reading Jason’s story, and see the full gallery from TPC Southwind created by our photographer Christine Tannous.

As Zalatoris won yesterday, some of his success can be credited to an injured coach from Bartlett, Josh Gregory, our Mark Giannotto writes in his latest column.

Here's an excerpt:

Josh Gregory watched it all from the clubhouse, watched as the FedEx St. Jude Championship went bonkers, his leg propped up with an ice pack because he might have torn a calf muscle.

He watched Will Zalatoris almost hit his tee shot into someone’s backyard on the second playoff hole. He watched Sepp Straka almost hit his tee shot into the water, so close to the edge that he took off his shoes, rolled up his pants and thought about hitting the most important shot of his career shin-deep in a TPC Southwind pond.

He watched perhaps the most delightfully bizarre ending in Memphis professional golf history when Zalatoris and Straka needed a third playoff hole to decide the first FedEx Cup playoff event this city has hosted.

Lausanne Collegiate’s Brock Glenn is No. 1 on The Commercial Appeal's Dandy Dozen, a collection of the top college football prospects as picked by the newspaper, our Wynston Wilcox reports.

Throughout the recruiting process for Glenn his priorities have remained intact. First, he wanted to go to a school with an offense that fit his play style. Next, he wanted to make sure he would enjoy the university outside of football.

Lastly and most importantly for him, it was going to be a decision he made with his family: It’s the foundation of who Glenn is.

Read all about Glenn and his success throughout his early football career with Wynston's story, and see who the other Dandy Dozen selects are this year.

Draymond Green, Ja Morant and many NBA fans may have gotten an early Christmas present in August as NBA correspondent Marc Stein reports the Grizzlies are expected to travel to Golden State for a game on Dec. 25.

This would be the first Christmas game in Grizzlies' franchise history, our Damichael Cole reports. The full NBA schedule is expected to come within the next week.

The Warriors and Grizzlies have ended each other's seasons in the past two years. The Grizzlies eliminated the Warriors in a play-in game in 2021, but the Warriors returned the favor in the second of the 2022 Western Conference Semifinals.
