911 calls released after crack found in bridge

The City of Memphis released 911 calls made by inspectors who found a "significant fracture" in the I-40 bridge. The six-lane bridge into Memphis was shut down Tuesday. (May 13)

- I am doing a bridge inspection here on I-40 Mississippi River Bridge. And we just found a super critical finding that needs traffic shut down in both directions on the I-40 Mississippi River bridge. I've already talked to the [INAUDIBLE] people. And they're working on it. We need to get people off the bridge as soon as possible in both directions.

- We had a critical find on the bridge. And we need to get traffic off of it immediately. So we need to shut it down in both directions. And I believe we'll need [INAUDIBLE] assistance for that.
