Video Transcript

- We're hearing the calls for help made seconds after two FBI agents were killed earlier this month. Neighbors quickly picked up their phones to report the barrage of bullets minutes after the deadly shooting claimed the lives of FBI Special Agents Daniel Alfin and Laura Schwartzenberger. And injured three others. For some, the gunfire erupted just a few homes away.

- 9-1-1, what's the address of the emergency?

- Well, we live in Sunrise Island. And behind us is someone shooting a gun.

- What is the address?

- Well, we're on a lake. And it sounds like the complex behind us.

- Concerned and in some cases frantic 9-1-1 calls poured in from residents who heard the gunshots ringing out nearby. Those shots would claim the lives of two FBI agents serving a warrant. Three others were hurt, the gunman killed. Panicked residents described what they saw and heard in the early morning hours of February 2. And for some, the gunfire erupted just a few homes away.

- And how many shots have been fired?

- A lot, a lot.

- A lot, would you say more than 10, more than five?

- No.

- Just give me a range.

- More than 10, more than 10.

- In the calls, shaken voices describe the bullets they heard outside their doors breaking the silence of what are typically quiet early morning hours.

- What direction did you-- did the shots come from?

- Outside my window, I can't really say, ma'am. I don't know. I feel like I'm going to faint.

- OK, take a deep breath. Are you guys in a safe location?

- Yeah, I'm in the bathroom with my daughter and my dog. Own

- One concerned mother was even barred from entering the neighborhood where her children were after the shooting and shared her experience seeing the gunman.

- My kids are home alone. I can't get back into the complex. And I saw this right after I heard the gunshots, maybe five minutes after. I heard the gunshots around 6:05 AM, something like that, because I took my husband to work. But I watched him. And he got out of the car, parked, he got out of the car. And then he ran to the left around the back end of the channel.

- Special agents Alfin and Schwartzenberger were honored at two tributes held at Hard Rock Stadium. Meanwhile, the other three agents injured in the shooting are all out of the hospital and expected to recover.
