The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) said the driver of the Corolla was coming eastbound from Leesburg Pike and turning left onto South Jefferson St. in front of the GR86 which was heading west on Leesburg Pike, and that’s what caused the crash.

Both cars were carrying a passenger, causing all four people involved to be taken to the hospital for treatment.

On Feb. 21, FCPD was told that the passenger of the Corolla, Gladys Bilbao, of Falls Church, died of her injuries.

FCPD was still investigating whether or not speed was the cause of the crash.
