I-95 crash kills North Carolina woman

A 23-year-old woman from Selma, North Carolina, died early Saturday when the car she was driving crashed and overturned on Interstate 95 near Port St. John in Brevard County.

The Florida Highway Patrol crash report did not identify the woman by name.

She was driving south on I-95 about 4 a.m. when her car veered into the center lane, collided with a trailer in tow behind a pickup truck then overturned. As her car rolled, she was ejected from the vehicle.

Troopers said she landed on the highway and was run over by an SUV.

Neither of the other drivers were injured. Both stopped and stayed at the crash scene.
