95 kilos of cocaine recovered from LaPlace home, 3 arrested

LAPLACE, La. (WGNO) — A drug bust in a LaPlace neighborhood led to the arrest of three men.

According to deputies with the St John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office, on March 19, they were conducting an investigation at a home in the area when they found about 95 kilos of cocaine equaling a street value of about $2.5 million.

Additionally, deputies also reported finding eight firearms and about 45 grams of suspected pressed fentanyl pills.

Three men were arrested, but their identities weren’t released.

Deputies report the investigation remains ongoing as more arrests are expected to be made.
