The 95 players selected for the McDonald's all-star high school baseball game in Peoria

Rosters were announced last week for the 31st annual McDonald's high school baseball all-star game, scheduled for Tuesday, June 21 at Dozer Park in Peoria.

The doubleheader is scheduled to include 95 of the top high school baseball players from 34 schools in the Journal Star area, selected by the Greater Peoria Baseball Coaches Association.

Former GPBCA head Dave Rodgers, who died earlier this month at the age of 77, also will be recognized at the game. He led the McDonald's games for years.

The event is a doubleheader, the first game at 5 p.m. for players from Class 3A and 4A schools and another at 8 p.m. for players from 1A and 2A schools.

West roster

The West roster includes players from Class 3A and 4A schools mostly west of the Illinois River. They will wear blue jerseys for the all-star game.
