Hallmark Channel’s ‘Christmas Under Wraps’ Becomes Its Most-Watched Telecast Ever
Hallmark Channel continues to rack up good numbers for its holiday-themed movies, with Saturday’s “Christmas Under Wraps” locking up the largest-ever audience for a telecast on the network.
According to preliminary national estimates from Nielsen, “Christmas Under Wraps” averaged roughly 5.8 million total viewers, including 1.2 million women 25-54, 1.3 million adults 18-49 and 1.6 million adults 25-54.
The pic, starring Candace Cameron Bure, stands as the No. 2 most-watched original cable movie of 2014 — behind only Lifetime’s “Flowers in the Attic” from January (6.06 million).
On Sunday, “One Christmas Eve,” the first Hallmark Hall of Fame original to air on Hallmark Channel and not a broadcast network, averaged roughly 3.6 million viewers. By comparison, ABC’s year-ago holiday HHOF movie “Christmas in Conway” averaged 6.5 million viewers.
