AAA activates ‘Tow to Go’ in Charlotte for Labor Day Weekend
In a effort to keep drunk drivers off the road, The Auto Club Group has reactivated the ‘Tow to Go’ program in Charlotte during the Labor Day weekend.
Triple A will be providing safe transportation for impaired drivers and their cars. The program started on Friday and will last through Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 6 a.m.
The service is free and available to AAA members and non-members. When called upon, Triple A dispatches a tow truck to transport the would-be impaired driver and takes their vehicle to a safe place within a 10-mile radius.

“If you plan to celebrate the unofficial end of summer this weekend, make sure your plans include a safe ride home,” said Tiffany Wright, spokesperson, AAA – The Auto Club Group in the Carolinas.
Triple A notes in some situations, they may need to make other arrangements to get an impaired individual a safe ride home and the service may not be available in rural areas or during severe weather conditions.
If you are in need of the service, call 855-286-9246.
