LOS ANGELES (KGPE) – As of last month, Raegan Pebley is the general manager of the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks. She was Fresno State’s women’s basketball coach for two seasons, 2012-2014, with two NCAA Tournament appearances.

Aari McDonald was still in high school in 2014. She began her high school career in Fresno (Bullard High School), and now she is in Los Angeles with Pebley.

McDonald was traded on Thursday, sent from the Atlanta Dream to the Los Angeles Sparks. The two teams also swapped first-round draft picks this year.

“I have had a chance to watch Aari throughout her career; she is a dynamic scorer and fierce competitor,” said Pebley in a news release. “We are ecstatic to have her join the Sparks.”

Aari McDonald was the No. 3 overall pick in the 2021 WNBA Draft. In three seasons, she has averaged 8.6 ppg.
