Abby Huntsman is back on 'The View' after twins, shares love for fellow NICU parents

"The View" launched its 23rd season with the most adorable guests — Abby Huntsman's twin babies Ruby and William.

The 33-year-old, who's now a mom of three, returned to the show Tuesday after maternity leave, with her bundles of joy in tow.

She joked about being thrilled to finally be able see her feet and breathe, but also shared about the scary time her daughter spent in the neonatal intensive care unit.

"I am a new person since (I last sat here)," she said. "The delivery, I was very lucky, but we ended up in the NICU for two weeks with one of them. Her lungs weren't developing."

Huntsman said she was "so thankful" for the nurses and doctors and had a newfound empathy for parents who spend time in the NICU with their babies.

"I was going back and forth for two weeks to feed William at home and feed Ruby in the NICU ... I have such an appreciation now for parents that are still sitting in that NICU, still hoping their baby's going to be OK," she shared with fellow "The View" hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Meghan McCain and Sunny Hostin.

She ended on a lighter note, saying her babies are now doing wonderfully.

"Life is hectic and I drink a lot of coffee and a lot of wine."

Huntsman, who also shares almost-2-year-old Isabel with husband Jeffrey Livingston, opened up to People about learning the couple was having twins.

Livingston was literally floored.

“I think he saw two sacs in there and I could see it on his face. He turned white, and then when the doctor told us, he fell. Another doctor had to come in, and they were wiping him down with towels and giving him sugar,” Huntsman said. “I was sitting there with my feet still in the straps. I’m like, ‘This is ridiculous. I’m the one that has to physically do this.’"

The babies were born just 20 minutes apart on June 6.
