  • This week, reports questioned whether The View star Meghan McCain intentionally took a jab at Strahan and Sara co-star Sara Haines online.

  • The hearsay began when Meghan praised Fox News's Harris Faulkner on Twitter.

  • According to Nielsen Media Research, Harris's show has frequently topped ABC's Strahan and Sara ratings in the same time slot.

According to ABC, there's zero drama between The View's Meghan McCain and Strahan and Sara co-host Sara Haines, so you can go ahead and ignore all those reports claiming otherwise.

For those of you out of the loop on this one, some outlets have recently speculated that Meghan was "needling" Sara, who quit The View in 2018 to go to GMA, with her congratulatory message to Fox News's Harris Faulkner.

"So proud of you Harris, (not that you need the accolades). Thank you for always being a woman I can look up to in this industry, for all the goals I wish to achieve myself, and for being a pillar of strength and friendship I can rely on. And you do it all with grace and class," she wrote.

What does this have to do with Sara? As it turns out, Meghan's message was in response to Harris, who tweeted out a link to a Wrap story that explained Outnumbered Overtime with Harris Faulkner has beaten out ABC's Strahan and Sara in the 1 p.m. time slot eight out of 17 times in July.

Harris's tweet read: "Feel so blessed for #FoxNews viewers who have lifted me along my journey. #BlessedAndGrateful.”

In response to the gossip, an ABC spokesperson told Page Six that the claim "ridiculous."

"Maybe your source should check TV Guide — in a good portion of the country, those shows aren’t even on at the same time. Meghan can be proud of a friend’s success and her ABC pals, too.”

Moreover, another source told the outlet,"Meghan was congratulating and supporting a friend nothing more than that."

All this eye-roll-inducing hearsay aside, both Meghan and Sara seem to be thriving at the moment. Meghan, who joined The View in 2017, has helped the show's ratings grow exponentially. In May, New York Times Magazine called The View "the most important political TV show in America" – a title Meghan and the rest of the show's cast (Whoopi Goldberg, Ana Navarro-Cárdenas, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Abby Huntsman) should be super proud of.

As for Sara, she is all smiles co-hosting Strahan and Sara every weekday with Michael Strahan and Keke Palmer, who is poised to join the program full time.

So, yeah, everyone is doing great and there's no drama to see here. Let's move along now, shall we?
