Aberdeen Central, Roncalli track squads compete in NSU Indoor Invite

Six area athletes recorded multiple-event victories Tuesday in the Northern State Indoor Invitational high school track and field meet in the Barnett Center.

The meet included athletes from Aberdeen Central and Roncalli, Frederick Area, Dupree and Potter County.

Juna Ramey (800- and 1,600-meter runs) and Regan Lust (55-meter and high jump) of Aberdeen Central each won two events in the girls division. Jayden Munroe of Aberdeen Roncalli took the boys' long and triple jumps.

Stephen Achen (55 dash), Jonathan Bretsch (400 dash) and Brayden Sumption (high jump) of Frederick Area each won events in the boys division and also ran on the winning 1,600 relay along with Jericho King.

Madison Hochstetter (200 dash), Rakyrah Wallace (55 hurdles), Taryn Hermansen (shot put), Breckan Santjer (pole vault) and Ciara Frank (long jump) of Aberdeen Central each added wins in the girls division along with Maddie Huber of Roncalli (triple jump).

Brian Johnson (shot put) and Ethan Fergel (pole vault) each won events for Aberdeen Central in the boys division. Garrett Griffin of Roncalli won the 1,600 run.
