Aberdeen man riding electric scooter killed in Havre de Grace hit-and-run

Sep. 15—A 25-year-old Aberdeen man riding an electric scooter died after a hit-and-run on Post Road in Havre de Grace Wednesday night, according to a news release from the Havre de Grace Police Department.

The victim was identified by police on Thursday as Michael Fox.

Havre de Grace police officers and emergency medical services responded to the 1300 block of Post Road at 10:12 p.m. Fox was transported by Maryland State Police medevac helicopter to the Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where he was pronounced dead.

According to a preliminary investigation, the victim was headed west in the eastbound lane when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle. The vehicle did not stop and left the scene before emergency vehicles arrived.

Evidence recovered from the crime scene suggests the vehicle may have been a Ford sedan, police said.
