Texas Tech on Thursday announced the launch of its Beyond Verified Marketplace, a one-stop location that enables fans to engage with current and former Tech athletes on name, image and likeness opportunities. Tech partnered with NIL marketplace provider Opendorse in setting up the site.

Tech said the marketplace gives "fans, brands and sponsors the ability to browse, book, pitch and pay" any Tech athlete for NIL activities in one platform.

"From the onset, we have stated that Texas Tech will be a national leader in supporting our student-athletes when it comes to NIL opportunities, and that's exactly what the Beyond Verified Marketplace does," Tech athletics director Kirby Hocutt said in the announcement. "Beyond the education we already provide, this is another valuable tool our student-athletes can utilize that will allow them to maximize their NIL while staying compliant with both NCAA and state laws."

Tech said all its current athletes will have a profile on the site, which they can customize and promote on their social-media channels. They'll be able to review opportunities, receive offers, accept compensation and disclose all their NIL activities on the Opendorse app.

The marketplace also will feature prominent former Tech athletes, among them football players Patrick Mahomes and Danny Amendola, basketball players Jarrett Culver and Davide Moretti, golfer Kim Kaufman and soccer player Kirsten Davis.
