Abilene crowns youth bowling champions during annual tournament
The 59th annual Youth City Tournament is now part of the Greater Abilene U.S. Bowling Congress history.
The Feb. 25 tournament at Dyess Lanes featured doubles and singles play with only with two divisions.
The top 4 finishers in each division are as follows:
DOUBLES
Division 1 Handicap – 1. Maddelyn Goldsby/Marshal Bruton 1365; 2. Melody Nickerson/Anna Westerman 1335; 3. Tre’veon/Blake Martinez 1326; 4. Mason Mallet/Ian Lopez 1270.
Division 2 – 1. Kai and River Gillett 1468; 2 Matthew and Jameson Fahntrapp 1449; 3. AJ Jones/Colton Roady 1362; 4. Ryder Nightingale/Lila Flores 1333.
SINGLES
Division 1 – 1. Lila Flores 685; 2. Anna Westerman 681; 3 Garrett Jones; 4. Colton Roady.

Men with games of 250 or better were Andy Rutledge (289), Lupe Moreno (268), Johnny Rhone (268, 256), Pete Morton (267), Dylan Huestis (261), Robbie Reinert (259), Chris Wilson, Bryan St. Jean, Jimmy Rangel (258), Homer Cook (257), Brannon Sikes/Shane Gladden (255) and Scooter Wright (254). Men with 700 or better series were John Lawson (721) and Kris Dosser (704). Women with games of 200 or better were Telitha Ford (247, 221, 200), Karen Rhone (232), Virginia Greer (211), Ashley Kraly (203), Cathy Morton (201) and Autumn Carlile (200). Women with 600 or better series was Virginia Greer (616).
BOWLING HIGHLIGHTS
Bowling in the PrimeTime Turkey Shooters on Feb. 20, Dik Pittman bowled a 200 Triplicate.
YOUTH BOWLING HIGHLIGHTS
Bowling in the Youth Pepsi Tournament at Cityview Lanes in Fort Worth last weekend, Zach Early rolled an outstanding 299 game, one pin from perfection. Way to bowl Zach.
