The man, later identified as Timothy Wood, pulled out a handgun and placed it against the victim’s stomach. The victim let go of Wood, who then fled.

Officers located Wood shortly after, who admitted to carrying a handgun and told the officers where he had thrown it.

When officers retrieved the firearm, it was determined to be one of the pistols stolen from the vehicle a few days prior. During the investigation, Wood confessed to breaking into the vehicle and described the items he had taken.

He was sentenced to four years for theft of a firearm and eight concurrent years for aggravated robbery in TDCJ. This time will be served following his prior federal prison sentence.
