Abilene police: Man arrested after striking two in nightclub parking lot Friday

A man was arrested after striking two people with his vehicle Friday evening, Abilene police said.

According to a police report, Charles Bryant was charged with second-degree felony aggravated assault following the incident, which took place outside Guitars & Cadillacs nightclub in the 3800 block of Vine Street at about 9 p.m. Friday.

Police said Bryant and a woman were arguing in the parking lot when the victims attempted to assist the woman retrieve her property.

Bryant, police said, put his vehicle in reverse and struck the two victims.

He was later identified by Clyde Police and arrested. He was transported to Taylor County Jail.

According to jail records, Bryant was released Sunday on $40,000 bond.
