Abilene police seek one or more suspects in four Wednesday robberies

Abilene police Thursday were searching for a suspect, or possibly multiple suspects, connected to four business robberies during a three-hour period Wednesday evening, according to a news release.

Here is a timeline of the four robberies:

► 7:39 p.m.: Convenience store in 700 block of Veteran's Drive robbed by a heavyset man wearing a dark hoodie and facemask.

► 9:15 p.m.: Convenience store in 3400 block of Ambler Avenue robbed by possible male wearing dark mask, dark pants and lighter-colored jacket.

► 9:43 p.m.: Hotel in 1700 block of Overland Trail robbed by man.

► 10:23 p.m.: Hotel in 3000 block of Catclaw Drive robbed by man wearing mask.

In the convenience store robberies, the suspect took either money, food or cigarettes. An undisclosed amount of money was taken from the hotels, the release said.

Police did not disclose the weapon used during the robberies. None of the clerks were harmed, a police spokesman said.
