What warms the heart and the body on a winter's morning? A pep rally in the school gymnasium.

Abilene High rallied Friday in its gym by rockin' an 80s theme as students drummed up school spirit thanks to the marching band, cheerleaders, and enthusiastic students.

Normally, pep rallies are Fridays in the fall, during football season. But this one was to boost spirits of winter sports teams. Spring season teams already are practicing.
