Abortion rights, gender-affirming treatment bills signed
Maryland Gov. Wes Moore on Wednesday signed some 200 bills into law, some that will have major impacts on recreational cannabis, abortion rights and gender-affirming treatments. Lt. Gov. Aruna Miller summed up Wednesday's bill signing, saying it's about health care. Moore signed bills that protect abortion rights at a time when Republican-led states are banning or putting severe restrictions on abortion. Also, the transgender community is hailing the Trans Health Equity Act as an equal rights issue. And, the recreational cannabis bill went through many changes before the governor signed it into law.
