What me, worry?

Newly ousted Fox anchor Tucker Carlson didn’t look like he had a care in the world near his Southwest Florida home Tuesday night.

Carlson got pap snapped riding around in a golf cart with his wife Susan, the day after being fired by his longtime employer Fox News. In the Daily Mail pictures, the San Francisco native is wearing khakis, a preppy button down shirt and a grin on his face, laughing at something off camera.

The couple of 30-plus years bought their first Sunshine State house in the Boca Grande community on Gasparilla Island in 2020, at the height of the pandemic; the pair purchased an adjoining property in August 2022. The homes were in nature’s path during Hurricane Ian, but were reportedly not significantly damaged.

Speaking of damage, Carlson doesn’t appear to be suffering too greatly in Unemploymentville.

On Wednesday evening, the conservative pundit posted a video at 8 p.m., just when his old eponymous cable news show would have started.

The 53 year old frozen food heir rattled on about the state of television news and especially slammed the way political debates are conducted.

“Where can you still find Americans saying true things?” Carlson asked. “There aren’t many places left, but there are some, and that’s enough. As long as you can hear the words, there is hope.”

The fallen TV star ended the clip with “See you soon.” (More than likely on the Gulf Coast, we’re thinking.)

On Monday, Fox announced that their ratings king (who was reportedly paid $6 million a year) was leaving the network after more than a decade. The shock sacking came on the heels of a $1.6 billion lawsuit brought against the network by voting equipment company Dominion, which was settled for a historic $787.5 million.

Fox has not publicly commented on Carlson’s departure, only issuing the statement: “We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”
