ACC said the Military Network is a “response to the distinctive needs of military and veteran families in Central Texas, where there has been a notable increase in military members and veterans.” It aims to “fill this gap of the lack of essential resources, systems, and community support in Central Texas,” ACC said in a release.

The space includes the new ACC Military Families Center, which will connect military and veteran families with a range of services, including through ACC. This network provides families with access to specialized ACC and partner programs, resources, and events, per the release.

The Military Network also includes the ACC’s Veterans Resource Center, which was established in 2018. The VRC has served as a central hub for veterans, offering financial aid, community, and academic and emotional support to ACC’s student veterans.

Additionally, ACC has joined forces with the U.S. Army in the Army Futures Command Software Factory, which was launched at ACC’s Rio Grande Campus in spring 2021.
