ACC women's basketball tournament Duke vs. Virginia Tech semifinal delayed due to court issue
Sunday's ACC women's basketball tournament semifinal between No. 8 Virginia Tech and No. 13 Duke was delayed due to a problem with the court at Greensboro Coliseum.
After the first semifinal in which Louisville defeated No. 10 Notre Dame 64-38, staff began to repair a board that had lifted from the court.
Coaches Kara Lawson and Kenny Brooks examined the work and agreed to play with tipoff pushed back from its originally scheduled time of 2:30 p.m. to 3:05 p.m.
Greensboro Coliseum will host the ACC men's basketball tournament for the 29th time next week, and then NCAA Tournament first- and second-round games.
Sunday's ACC women's championship game between Louisville and the Duke-Virginia Tech winner will tip off at 1 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN.
